My father had two main desires in life.  One of them was indoor plumbing.  

I can relate, as I also grew up with an outhouse.

I think it is for that reason when I had a chance to start an Internet company in March of 1994 I was driven by the idea that the Internet would be the great equalizer.  Creating more value for producers and more savings for consumers.  Eliminating the middlemen while distributing wealth and power.

The notion that anyone, from anywhere, with a good idea could find an audience and create a business online.

So I dedicated myself to promoting those values.

In the three decades that have passed it has become even more apparent that these goals are still relevant, necessary and unmet.

And so onward we go, until the job is done.
